Taper Fly
Good airfoil for a big RC/ UAV plane?
Whats a good airfoil for conservative flying. Im putting in a 40cc chainsaw engine for the power plant, wing span 4-6.
Wing can be tapered or have dihedral...any ideas?
4-6 foot wingspan or alittle more
Would your wing span be in yards, feet or inches ?
Your engine could easily power a 20 foot span model, if you want benign handling you could copy the piper cub wing in about 50% scale
Maybe a Clark Y profile for your own design. A little taper helps stability as does a little dihedral. Have a look at the wing on the Piper PA28 series for ideas.
If your looking for a more modern design that is still easy to handle how about a 50% scale version of the Vans RV-6.
