Soft Bait
I'm going fishing, what do I use as bait?
I am going fishing where Bass, Walleye and Northern Pike are. What kind of hard bait or soft bait should i use? Or would i be better of buying Gulp Alive or Powerbait? Could you leave links to where i could see these baits.
First, try doing a search for all local bait shops and get some live minnows. They are the best. Do not get fancy when rigging them. Just put a hook at the end (Circle C hooks are the best), and hook the minnow from the end of the tail where the muscle is. I usually hook two of them, one alive and one smashed and bloody.
Second, I reccomend the Gulp Alive buckets of minnows. The look injured in the water when you flick the rod. Ise offset hooks for that set up. You can find them at bassproshops.com or cabelas.com
