GRACO SnugRide or SafeSeat?
So 4 years ago the GRACO SnugRide Infant Carseat was the winner of the year and when I had my son that same year I had my son and we purchased the SnugRide Travel System....
I am now preg w my 2nd baby and I am due in December...
So when I looked around for the GRACO Quattro Tour Strollers some SafeSeats came up and they looked NEW to me...
I guess the upgrade from the SnugRide? They look nicer lighter and I read that they hold more weight and height than MOST INFANT SEATS... Soooo Im wanting to know have u had a SnugRide in the past and then had a SafeSeat lateron and whats ur xperience and which did you like more?
Plus, do the SafeSeats fit on shopping carts as well as the SnugRides do?

I have a 3-month old that weighs about 14 pounds and I have a safeseat. It's definitely bigger than the snugride. My sister had a baby last year and had the snugride for her son. The safeseat has a limit of 30 pounds but i think the snugride's limit is 20 or something like that so that's why i decided to get the safeseat.
I regret it!
I use the car seat so often that the bigger size is annoying/unwieldy when I have to carry it around with me. Even carrying the seat (with my baby in it) up to my apartment is a lot harder than it was with the snugride. It's also harder to put into the car and take out each time since I put the seat in the middle. I think the safeseat is only good if you have a larger baby I don't think mine will hit the 30 pounds before I switch her to a forward facing seat. Think about that before you buy it just based on the height/weight capacity. You may not need or want to use an infant seat by the time your baby gets that big!
Your best bet would be to go to babies r us or something and compare the two side by side so you can see the difference in size and weight. If i could do it over again though I'd DEFINITELY get the snugride....
