Snowboard Box help?
What kind of material should i put on the top of a snowboard box to make it slick? and that isnt overly expensive.
i have heard of plexiglass, high density polyethylene, Fiber glass resin, and high resin plastic....
so yea any ideas for the top of a snowboard box to make it slick?
ok so i found lexan and i was wodering why are people saying its cheap. im making a wide box and the one sheet for lexan is $60 a sheet
heres the link for lexan = http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100289077&N=10000003+90044+501358
heres the link for the other stuff = http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100250108&N=10000003+90044+501358
how are they different. i looked up HDPE and that stuff looks really harsh to fall on. its like a cutting board and this stuff is thin. idk what do you guys think?
Plex is too hard and too brittle, the best stuff to use is High-density polyethylene (HDPE) - it can take more abuse and your edges can actually bite into it a little bit which gives you some control. If you can't find any at a plastic store, you may be able to get "composite" decking boards that are made of mostly HDPE at home stores - not as good as 100% HDPE, but much cheaper.

Good Luck
