How can i Open a power point from open office.org writer?
I have a project that is due this week and i cant open power point. I was wondering if i could open power-point from openoffice.org writer or do i have to download it? Do you know a website that i can download microsoft office power-point or openoffice power point?
Let's start by clarifying these brand names and kinds of products.
PowerPoint is a presentation product made by Microsoft. It comes with Microsoft Office.
Writer is a word processor that ships with Oracle Corporation's various flavors of OpenOffice & LibreOffice
Writer can't open any presentations whether they were made in PowerPoint or OpenOffice because Writer is a word processor, not presentation software.
Since your project is short-term you should download the full version of Microsoft Office from the Microsoft web site. The trial version includes a fully functional complete version of Microsoft PowerPoint. You can use it for free for up to 60 days. Here's where to download Office:
