Mac Mini?????????????
My main computer right now is a Toshiba laptop. It works great and everything but I want an actual desktop. And i've always loved macs. We use them at my work all the time. I really want one but I wasn't sure which one to get but i'm pretty sure I made up my mind. I would of chosen the iMac but i cannot stand glossy displays to the point that it completely ruins it for me. I know you can get an anti glare thing for it but I really don't like the idea of that. And the mac pro is way too powerful and expensive for my needs. Heres the specs of the mac mini (new aluminum one) that i plan on getting.
2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, 500 GB HD. My question is will i be able to run things like Photoshop CS5 with it? I don't plan on gaming with it or anything.
Yes, it will run Photoshop CS5 OK. My wife has a Mac Mini and loves it. I have the iMac, older one without the glossy screen. Unless you are planning on using the iMac in a room with tons of windows, you'll never notice the glossy screen. I have one on my MacBook and only notice a problem when I am outside. Check them both out in an Apple store.
