How to rescue a kitten?
Hey, there is a kitten hiding under the storage building at my work. I spent most of my shift trying to lure it out. I have water and wet food out there for it. It's so adorable!
I tried calling several places, but no one was available cuz they were closed. I'm going up there tomorrow and calling the pound so they can get it out and I can take it home. Poor thing can't be more than a month old!
But anyway, I was just curious.
What could I have done to get it out?

Oh, and a big part of my concern is the fact that(maybe its mother) a DEAD cat is under there, too!

putting out wet food and water was a good idea, but it probably doesn't even know that it should be eating wet food yet, and that's why it didn't work.. it's probably terrified, so don't feel bad, its not your fault that he/she didn't come out.. Good for you to call the pound, but if they can't come out soon tomorrow, try leaving a little milk out and making little squeaky noises with your lips, cats are usually attracted to that. Also, keep your voise quiet but soothing and try to coax it out.. be patient! If the pound can't make it out tomorrow morning you should keep calling local vets/animal control officers because the kitten probably needs medical attention and also real food and shelter.
