What is the best braided fishing line?
What is the best braided fishing line? I fish for bass and pike mostly, but the girlfriend likes to fish for catfish. So, a line that would be optimal for these fish? I dont really care for spiderline. Do you guys like stren Superbraid, Fireline?
Yes BASS Fisherman is right about the Sufix. Their Performance Braid is unbeatable. I use it for spinnerbaits and crankbaits and love the stuff. Be sure that your rod has plenty backbone and a medium fast tip when cranking with this stuff because it's low stretch has a tendency to pull hooks out if you get overly aggressive with it. I also think that Fireline is very good for flipping jigs and worms in heavy cover. It REALLY takes abuse well.
I haven't tried the Stren only because I found other line that really works for me. I am not a fan of Stren products anyway. That's just me.
