Trout fishing hooks and baits, help?
I was told that a very small fish hook with two corn pieces is good.
I also want to use worms. But does the trout swallow a whole worm? And should I use small hook or big one with with triple grip?
I was fishing for 3 hours and saw a lot of fish close to the waterside but none ever bit on my bait. Maybe they were not hungry, so I'm gonna go when It's raining next time.

For trout, I would buy a few packs of different size hooks. Those triple grip hooks are actually called "treble" hooks. Buy lots of baitholder hooks, Eagle Claw makes them. Get sizes 4, 6, and 8. Vary the size of the hook to the size of fish you are catching. I prefer the bronze/nickel colored hooks but it's all in preference. Get some size 14 treble hooks. Yes, size 14. You'll find out why you want these.
Okay you go down to you're fishing spot, you have TWO rods. Both either ultra light or light action spinning rods. Use 4 or 6 lb. mono such as Trilene. On one of the rods, tie on a size 6 Eagle Claw baitholder hook. About 6 1/2 inches from the hook pinch on a small split-shot. Put 3/4's of an earthworm on the hook. Cast it out and let it set, as if you were catfishing. Don't fish on the bottom. Fish in the mid-depth range. Switch out the worm with corn every now and then to give the fish different approaches.
On the other rod of yours you should have that size 14 treble hook and a can of trout powerbait. Any color. Mold the bait around you're hook. Use the smallest split-shot you can buy, or Carolina rig you're line and use a 1/16 oz egg sinker. The bait will float a few inches off the bottom like this. It attracts trout.
