I want to get back into fishing. I live in Orange County Ca. Where is a good place to fish?
I also would appreciate any recommendations for fishing gear like poles and bait. Where would be a good place to shop?

As for tackles and equipments, you could try stores such as Turners, Sport Authority, Sport Chalet, Big-5 and Wal-Mart. You will be able to find the stores I mentioned above online and search for a nearest store.
I'd only recommend a medium action spinning rod and reel since you didn't mention what kind of fish you wish to target. You could catch a good variety of fish with a medium action spinning rod in both freshwater and saltwater.
