The ability to control fire through God?
I was reminded of this today when a wildfire broke out. My Papa Jerry told me about these people he knew who had the God-given ability to control fire. For example, there was a forest fire that was spreading toward this man's home. He walked around his property saying, "In the name of Jesus, fire, you are not allowed to touch my property." The fire ended up circling his property and not one blade of his grass was singed. This gift was known to be passed on through either people who knew them or through their family, I don't recall which.
Does anybody know about this?
On a side note, we'd really appreciate prayer. There's a massive wildfire burning in Green Mountain, Colorado right now. With 90 temps continuously and hardly any rain, it's not a good situation. Please pray for rain and the safety of those working to put out the fire.

I stand in agreement with you in prayer that it will rain today and the fire will stop and everyone will be safe in the name of Jesus.I thank you God bcoz you have heard our prayer and have answered it as we stand on the word that when two or three agree in prayer it shall be done. It's not a gift to control fire, It is that man had faith and exercised it and if you have faith, believe in your heart and not doubt you can speak to a mountain and say move and throw yourself into the sea and it will. That is what the Bible says.
It is not passed on from one family member to another or to people around you. If they don't have faith and they don't believe anything is possible with God how can they do this? According to the measure of your faith, that's how the Bible puts it.
That man simply had Faith in God that whatever he asked for in the name of Jesus it would be honored by God. He matched around His house as a sign of faith bcoz faith without action is dead.
