What is the best lure color for a pond treated with the bluish/green weed control chemical?
I have a pond in my back yard that is about 2-3 acres. It was recently treated for weeds and the pond is now a bluish/greenish color. I have read this prevents weed growth by blocking some sunlight. The pond has smallmouth, largemouth, blue gill, and catfish. This is the first year they have used this coloring. I used to use 1/16 or 1/8 chartreuse spinner baites and black buzz baits and dark colored 6" plastic worms. Are the conditions going to change much because of this coloring? What would be the best largemout and smallmouth lure colors for these conditions?
I fish several ponds that are the blue/green color and I fair out very well fishing a fire-tiger, chartreuse, and believe it or not black color lures.
