Angling Direct

I'm thinking about Getting Direct TV, What Is You Opinion About Their Service?
Currently, I have Dish network and have very little negatives to say about them.
My problem is that I live in an apartment and in order to get HDTV for my new television, I need to clear the roof line for a clear southwest vista.
I was considering if Direct TV has an angle that would work for me.
What can you say about them, and what third party source may be the best to go thru?
I had alot of problems with direct tv also with my channels going in and out. It wasn't from poor installation or anythign cuz the signal strength was there its just directv in general. i know others that have the same problem. plus they have alot of hidden fees they dont' tell you about for one in perticular if your receiver isn't hooked up to a phone line they will charge you 5.00 a month this is someting they dont' tell you at all. i would ask dish network if they can raise your satellite at all and tell them the problem you are having and when u are doing so you can mention that you may have to switch to get what you want and they will come out and assess location of where a satellite can be put with of course managers permission of your complex. ask yoru manager maybe how far up or out you can go with one
