astman Lake Eastman Lake is located approximately 28 miles northwest of Madera. The lake contains 1,780 surface acres of water in the oak covered rolling foothills. Camping is available at the lake accommodating both tents and RV's; hook-ups and group camping available. Power boats are permitted and launching facilities are available. Eastman is a designated trophy bass fishery with a 22 inch, 1 fish limit. Eastman Lake is an excellent warm water fishing lake providing excellent largemouth bass and catfish action. The lake also holds a good population of bluegill, crappie, and seasonal trout. Fees are $4.00 for a day pass & $30.00 anually. Campgrounds are $14/nt for tents & $20/nt with electricity & water. The lake contains 1,570 surface acres with 25 miles of oak and granite covered shoreline. There is one campground with 55 sites suitable for both tents and RV's; group camping available. All boating is permitted as well as water skiing, jet skis, and swimming; two improved launch ramps are available. For the angler, Hensley is most noted for its excellent largemouth bass fishing and summer night catfishing. Hensley also holds a good population of crappie and bluegill as well as frequently planted trout in the winter. Fees are $4.00 for a day pass & $30.00 anually. ass LakeBass Lake is located approximately 55 miles east of Madera at an elevation of 3,400 feet in the beautiful Sierra National Forest. Bass Lake contains 1,165 surface acres of water and is extremely popular for both fishing and water skiing. Multiple camping facilities are located around the lake accommodating tents, RV's, and group camping. All boating is permitted as well as water-skiing and jet-skis. Improved launching facilities are available as well as boat rentals, gas, bait, tackle, and groceries. Bass Lake holds both a variety of species of fish including rainbow and brown trout, catfish, bluegill, perch, crappie, bass, and Kokanee salmon.
